PFC. Joseph "Dimps" Marquez Memorial 5k
The PFC. Joseph "Dimps" Marquez Memorial 5k takes place in Rehoboth Beach, DE on August 9, 2026. The event is based at Mission BBQ on Seaside Outlet Drive and offers in-person and virtual participation options.
Available race formats:
- 5K Run / Walk
- Competitive Walking 5K (participants must walk the entire race)
- Virtual 5K
Pre-registration closes on August 9 and day-of registration is available. Registrations are non-refundable and bibs are non-transferable. Dogs are not allowed due to insurance liability.
On-course amenities include Mission BBQ and hydration such as water and Gatorade. Timing is provided by R2R Timing using the MYLAPS BibTag Timing System. Results are posted online during the race with complete results posted after the event.
Awards are presented to overall male and female finishers and to overall male and female masters by gun time; all other age-group awards are scored by chip time. Age-group awards are given to the top three in 10-year divisions from 18 and under through 70 and over. Awards are also presented to the top male and female walker.
