Event Overview
Runtastic NEBO is a long-distance running event held in Payson, Utah. The race takes place on the Mt. Nebo Loop and travels down Payson Canyon, featuring scenic views of Mount Nebo, Utah Valley, and Utah Lake. The marathon course is a Boston Marathon qualifier and features a total elevation drop of 4,561 feet.
Participants can choose from four different distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
Course Details and Logistics
The marathon course has a time limit of 5 hours and 30 minutes, and runners must exit the canyon by 10:00 AM. For the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K, participants are transported to their respective starting lines via required bus services from designated loading areas near Memorial Park and Parkview Elementary School. There is no self-transportation permitted to these start lines. The 5K race begins directly at Memorial Park.
Aid stations are placed at regular intervals along the courses, providing water, electrolytes, and first aid kits. Energy gels are also available at specific mile markers for the longer distances. A bag drop service is provided for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K, allowing runners to transport personal items from the start to the finish line.
Race Experience
The event includes professional chip timing for all distances. The finish line celebration at Memorial Park includes live music, post-race refreshments such as chocolate milk and electrolytes, and an awards ceremony. Top finishers in both overall and age group categories receive medals. Participants also receive a race shirt and a finisher medal upon completion.
