Event Details

The Utah Santa Run is a holiday-themed running event in Salem, Utah, near Payson. It takes place on December 5, 2026. This is described as the last of the Utah Santa Runs and features a new course.

Distances

Participants can choose from two main distances:

A 5K (3.1 mile) run
A 1.55 mile run

Virtual options are also available for the 5K distance. Discounted entries are offered for participants who choose an unpackaged Santa suit.

The Course and Experience

The course is a loop around Salem Pond. Runners go over a bridge and along trails. The pond is decorated with a Christmas light display featuring lights floating on the water.

All registered participants receive a Santa suit, including a jacket, pants, belt, hat, and beard, to run in. Aid stations offer milk and cookies, staffed by volunteers dressed as elves. Kids aged 12 and under can run for free with a paid adult, receiving a Santa hat.
