Event overview
The Utah Santa Run - Utah County is a community running event held in Salem, Utah near Salem Pond (60 North 100 East, Salem, UT 84653). The event offers multiple entry types, including a 5K, 5K Virtual, 5K Discount Santa (unpackaged suit), 1.55 Mile Run, and 1.55 Mile Run Discount Santa Suit. All registered participants receive a Santa suit package that includes a hat, beard, belt, jacket, pants, and a 4" finisher medal. Children 12 and under may run free with a paid adult; free youth entries include only a Santa hat.
Course and logistics
The course is a loop around Salem Pond, with trails and bridges that cross the lake area and a finish located near the pond and start. Aid stations along the route provide milk and cookies and are staffed by volunteers dressed as elves. The pond features a seasonal display of floating Christmas lights. Registration options include virtual entries and discounted suit options. The event has a firm no-refund policy but offers deferrals and transfers up to 15 days prior for a fee, and race insurance is available at registration.
