About the race
Earn Your Turkey is a Thanksgiving Day run and walk held in Orem, Utah on November 26, 2026. The event has been organized since 1982 by Runner's Corner and the Orem Family Fitness Center and offers multiple race categories for adults and children. Prizes and awards include overall and age group awards for top finishers, awards for the top five in each age group, pies, product raffles, ALTRA shoe giveaways, and premium running socks for the top 150 finishers. Frozen turkeys are placed along the course for participants to claim and carry to the finish.
A portion of race registrations is donated to charity. The main running course is a roughly square loop that begins in front of the Orem Family Fitness Center and returns through the Mountain View High School parking lot for the finish. The 4 mile race is two laps of that loop. The 2 mile event is a single lap that finishes in the Mountain View High School parking lot.
Kids races are organized by age group and take place on the Mountain View track. Location: 580 W Center St, Orem, UT. Packet pickup is available the day before and on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
