Runtastic FRIGID 5K and Penguin Plunge
The event features a timed 5K race and a Penguin Plunge into Utah State Lake at Utah Lake State Park in Provo, Utah. The 5K course runs along the Provo Delta River Trailhead and offers views of Utah Lake and the surrounding mountains.
Event participants receive race swag that includes a beanie and gloves. All 5K finishers receive a finisher medal. Penguin Plunge participants receive a penguin keychain and a plunge sticker. A portion of registration fees is donated to Wolfpack Running Club.
Race timing is handled with race chips attached to the back of bibs. Results are available at the results trailer, on printed results at the trailer, and online. An aid station provides water, Redmond Re-Lyte products, and a first aid kit. Parking is located at the Provo Boat Harbor. Photographers will be positioned at the start line, along the course, the finish area, and in photo backdrops; race photos are included with registration.
Packet pick-up takes place at the building at Utah Lake State Park; photo ID is required to collect a packet. The first three overall male and female 5K finishers will be recognized at an awards ceremony and receive a certificate that includes a free entry for the following year.
