Runtastic THANKFUL: Thanksgiving Day Race
Runtastic THANKFUL is an annual running event held on Thanksgiving Day at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah. The event offers multiple distances primarily following the scenic Jordan River Trail. Participants can choose from several race options:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Kids Run (1/2 mile)
The Half Marathon includes professional pacing services to assist runners in reaching specific time goals, ranging from 1 hour 40 minutes to a 3 hour 15 minute sweeper pace. The course for the Half Marathon has a time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes, requiring a minimum average pace of 15 minutes per mile.
All participants receive a long-sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal, and access to free digital race photos. The event features professional timing with chips attached to the race bibs. Top finishers in overall and age group categories are recognized with gold, silver, or bronze medals. Overall winners also receive specific prizes such as cakes or pies and certificates for future race entries.
The celebration area at the finish line provides hydration and traditional seasonal food, including pumpkin pie, rolls, and hot chocolate. Aid stations along the courses are stocked with water, electrolyte drinks, and energy gels at select locations for the longer distances. A portion of the registration fees is donated to charity.
