Event Overview
The Run with the Badges is a 5K Glow Run held in Downtown Dallas, Georgia. Hosted by the City of Dallas and Paulding Public Safety Appreciation, Inc., this evening event serves as a major fundraiser for a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The initiative focuses on providing assistance, awareness, and support for public safety personnel and their families in Paulding County during times of hardship.
Race Features and Rewards
Participants in the 5K event receive several items as part of their registration. These include a custom event t-shirt, a swag bag containing items from local vendors and sponsors, and a custom glow-in-the-dark finisher medal. Awards are presented to top performers in various categories:
- 5K (Open registration)
The event recognizes the top three male and female finishers in age groups ranging from 10 and under to 70 and over. Additionally, the first-place overall male and female winners receive a custom award.
Event Atmosphere
The evening includes more than just the race. Activities begin in the late afternoon with a vendor display featuring music and various attractions. An opening ceremony precedes the run, which includes a presentation of the flag by the Paulding County Honor Guard.
