Alex Guercia Memorial 5K Mustang Run
The Alex Guercia Memorial 5K Mustang Run is a community 5K event held on June 20, 2026 at Kennesaw Mountain High School in Kennesaw, Georgia. The event commemorates Alex Guercia, who died in a motor vehicle accident on June 12, 2021 shortly after graduating from Kennesaw Mountain High School.
Proceeds from the 5K support the Alex Guercia Memorial Scholarship, which provides awards to two Kennesaw Mountain High School students each year. The event description emphasises remembrance and community spirit, and notes the scholarship as the primary beneficiary of fundraiser activity.
Participants registered by June 3 are guaranteed a short sleeve race shirt. Awards include custom medals and two free Braves tickets for top overall male and female, plus custom medals for the top finisher in each 5K age group: 10 and under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 plus.
Packet pick up is available at Big Peach Running Company in Kennesaw and at Kennesaw Mountain High School. Registration policies state there are no refunds unless a Refund Protection Program was purchased, and that race management may cancel or modify the event for unfavorable conditions; registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God.
