Event Overview
The Summer Sun Run 5K is the second race in the Kennesaw Grand Prix Race Series. It takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, starting and finishing at Kennesaw First Baptist Church on North Main Street in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Distances and Fees
The event features three distances:
- 5K - The main race, with registration fees starting at $25.00 plus a processing fee.
- 1 Mile Fun Run - Registration is $20.00 plus a processing fee.
- Tot Trot - A short run for children, with a $5.00 registration fee plus a processing fee.
A race t-shirt is guaranteed for participants who register by Sunday, May 31, 2026.
Course Details
The 5K course is USATF-certified. The route is described as fast and flat, traveling through Swift-Cantrell Park and into historic downtown Kennesaw. The course is paved.
Event Day Information
Packet pickup is available on race morning. It is also available on the Thursday before the race at Big Peach Running Co. in Kennesaw.
Free public parking is available at Adams Park and at several locations near the start, including limited parking at Kennesaw First Baptist Church (back lots only, with entry via Moon Station Road).
