Summer Sun Run 5K
The Summer Sun Run 5K is the second event in the Kennesaw Grand Prix Race Series, held in Kennesaw, Georgia. The event features a USATF-certified course that is noted for being fast and flat. Participants follow a paved route that travels through Swift-Cantrell Park and into the historic downtown area of Kennesaw.
The event offers multiple distances and participation options:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Tot Trot
- Wheelchair 5K
The 5K course is open to both runners and walkers. Participants who register by May 31, 2026, are guaranteed a race t-shirt. While registration remains open through the morning of the event, shirts are not guaranteed for those who sign up after the deadline. A discount is available for participants aged 10 and under when registering for the 5K after the early bird period ends.
Packet pick-up is available two days prior to the race at Big Peach Running Co. Kennesaw, as well as on the morning of the event at the race site. Free public parking is provided at Adams Park and in designated back lots at Kennesaw First Baptist Church. Additional parking is available behind Revival on Main and along Lewis Street.
