Run Wild 5K - Palos Heights
Run Wild 5K is a 5K run and walk held at Lake Katherine Nature Center in Palos Heights, Illinois, on April 11, 2026. The course runs on trails around the lake within an 85 acre restored natural refuge in the southwest suburbs of Chicago.
The route follows trails that offer lakeside views and opportunities to see local wildlife. Packet pick up is available the day before at Lake Katherine and on race morning. The listed entry fee for the 5K is $39.91, inclusive of mandatory charges and fees.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers overall. Age group awards are given three deep in these brackets: 14 and under; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; 70 and over.
