Chi Town Turkey Trot
The Chi Town Turkey Trot is scheduled for November 26, 2026 in Chicago. The event is the 16th annual edition and offers chip timed 5K and 10K races on the Chicago Lakefront Trail and adjacent sidewalks, plus a kids dash and fun run categories.

The start and finish are at DuSable Harbor on Lake Shore Drive. Course time limits are published for each distance. Water stations provide water along the course and toilets are located at the start and finish. A gear check is available on site.
Participant options include a classic race t-shirt or an upgrade to a thin-tec soft polyester pullover. Packets may be mailed for a fee or picked up before the event; virtual participation is offered with virtual packets mailed after race day. The event is chip timed and awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age categories run from 10 and under through 70 and over.
Finish line amenities noted for the event include Do-Rite Donuts and a commemorative finisher medal; beer for participants 21 and older and hot apple cider are also available. The race is part of the Run Chicagoland series and the nationwide Thankful Turkey virtual series with a national leaderboard. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
