Chi Town Turkey Trot
The Chi Town Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving running event in Chicago on November 26, 2026. The event offers two measured distances on the Chicago Lakefront Trail and sidewalks.

The course is entirely on the lakefront trail and sidewalks with start and finish at DuSable Harbor. The event is chip timed and includes fun run and kids categories. Course time limits are published for each distance.
Participant gear options include a choice between a classic t shirt or an upgraded thin tec soft polyester pullover. Packets can be mailed to participants or picked up at the event. A gear check and water stations are provided on site.
Finish line amenities include Do Rite Donuts and a commemorative finisher medal. Beer for participants aged 21 and over and hot apple cider are available after the run. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall in the chip timed categories; age groups are listed from 10 and under through 70 plus. The event is part of the Thankful Turkey Run/Walk national series and contributes results to a national leaderboard. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
