Event overview

The Run to the Sea Brighton is a point-to-point ultramarathon on Saturday 9 May 2026. The course runs from Christs Hospital School in Horsham to Hove Lawns on the Brighton seafront. The route covers a mixture of terrain, including trails, rolling downs and a coastal promenade. The course is fully signed and a GPS route file is provided before race day. There are four feed stations at roughly 10 km intervals, with an option to have personal nutrition delivered to later feed stations. Professional medical support is provided and free downloadable race photos are available. The event is UTMB index listed and is registered with ARC, TRA and ITRA.

Entries and logistics

  • 50 km individual event
  • 50 km relay - 2 runners, each covers half the course

Entries close 25 April 2026. Early bird and standard entry fees apply for both individual and relay options. Teams enter as individuals and the first team or club with five finishers receives a prize. Minimum age is 20 years on race day. A cut-off time of 9.5 hours applies (measured from the earliest start). Optional extras are available for a fee, including bus transport from the finish to the start, event T-shirt, live tracking and a reusable cup.
