Run to the Sea Brighton - 9 May 2026
Run to the Sea Brighton is a point to point 50 km ultramarathon from Horsham to Brighton seafront. The course crosses a mixture of surfaces, including trails and rolling downs, and finishes on the seafront promenade. Provisional GPS and map routes are published for the course.
The event is an UTMB index race and is registered with ARC, TRA and ITRA. The course is fully signed with arrows, and a GPS route file is provided before race day. There are four feed stations spaced at approximately 10 km intervals and an option to have personal food delivered to feed stations three and four. Professional medical support is provided throughout. A 9.5 hour cut off time applies, taken from the earliest start.
Entry options include individual and two-runner relay formats:
- 50 km individual event
- 50 km relay event for two runners
Entry fees listed on the race page include early bird and standard prices for both individual and relay entries. Entries close 25th April unless the event sells out earlier. Team entry is handled by individual registrations; the first team or club with five finishers wins a prize and team members do not have to run together.
Additional notes: a free 17-week beginner training plan is available, free downloadable photos are provided after the race, bus transport from the finish to the start is available for a fee, and optional extras such as an RTTS T-shirt and a squashable silicone cup can be ordered before race day.
