Run to the Sea Brighton 2026
The Run to the Sea Brighton is a multi-terrain point-to-point ultra marathon scheduled for Saturday 9 May 2026. The course starts at Christ's Hospital School in Horsham, West Sussex, and concludes at Hove Lawns on the Brighton seafront. The route covers approximately 50 km across varying landscapes, including trails, the rolling terrain of the South Downs, and the coastal promenade.
Participants can choose between two primary entry options:
- 50 km Individual Entry (Standard)
- 50 km Relay (Two runners per team)
In the relay format, the first runner completes approximately 23.3 km of flat terrain from Horsham to the second checkpoint in Upper Beeding. The second runner takes over for the remaining section, which features hilly and undulating paths through the South Downs to the finish line in Hove. All participants must be at least 20 years of age on the day of the race.
The event operates under UK Athletics rules and is licensed by the Trail Running Association. The course is fully signed, and participants receive a GPS route file and predictive tracking. There are four feed stations located along the route, with provisions for personal nutrition delivery to the stations in the second half of the race. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and access to free downloadable event photos. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
