Run to the Sea Brighton - 9 May 2026

Run to the Sea Brighton is a 50 km point-to-point ultramarathon from Christ's Hospital School, Horsham to Hove Lawns on the Brighton seafront. The route crosses a mix of terrain, including trails, rolling South Downs and the seafront promenade.

The event offers both an individual 50 km option and a 2-runner relay with a changeover at Upper Beeding (23.3 km). The course is fully signed and a GPS route file is provided before race day. Organiser-provided services include predictive tracking, four feed stations at roughly 10 km intervals, the option to have personal nutrition delivered to the latter feed stations, and professional medical support on course.

Additional event features include a free beginner 17-week training plan, free downloadable photos, a bespoke medal and memento, and bus transport from the finish to the start available for a fee. The race holds UTMB index status and is registered with ARC, TRA and ITRA; it is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UK Athletics rules. There is a 9.5 hour cut-off time (measured from the earliest start). Age restriction for participants is 20 years or older on race day.
