Event overview
Run to the Sea Brighton is a point-to-point ultramarathon held in May 2026. The main event is a 50k individual ultra. There is also a two-runner relay where each runner covers roughly half the course (runner 1 to the 23.3 km checkpoint; runner 2 from that checkpoint to the finish). Entries close on 25 April 2026. Entry fees for the individual 50k are listed as Early Bird £67 and Standard £73; relay entry is listed as Early Bird £85 and Standard £90. Participants must be 20 years of age or older on race day. The event is organised by UltraViolet Ltd and is affiliated with TRA, ARC and ITRA; it is an UTMB index race.
Course and race services
The course runs from Christs Hospital School, Horsham, to Hove Lawns on the Brighton seafront and includes mixed terrain: trails, rolling downs and a seafront promenade. The race is fully signed and a GPS route file is provided before race day. There are four feed stations placed at about 10 km intervals, with the option to have personal nutrition delivered to the second half feed stations. The organiser provides professional medical support, downloadable race photos, a bespoke medal, and a race cut-off time of 9.5 hours. Optional extras listed include bus transport from the finish to the start (£8.50), a T-shirt (£15), live tracking (£2) and a reusable silicone cup (£3).
