Event Overview

The Winter Downs 200 is a 200 mile continuous trail run taking place from 9th to 13th December 2026. Participants have up to 96 hours to complete the single-stage course.

The Course

The route forms a large loop around southern England, incorporating several long-distance trails. It starts and finishes at Juniper Hall near Dorking, in the shadow of Box Hill. The loop travels east on the North Downs Way, then south on the Vanguard Way to Alfriston. From there, it turns west onto the South Downs Way before heading north-east on the Wayfarers Walk and St. Swithuns Way to rejoin the North Downs Way, completing the final 25 miles back to the start.

Event Support

Live tracking will be available throughout the event. Runners are permitted to have a support crew and can access a drop bag at three major aid stations. These stations will offer hot food and sleeping facilities. The race is held under a full UK Athletics permit granted through the TRA.
