Winter Downs 200
The Winter Downs 200 is a continuous trail run covering 200 miles in a large loop around the South of England. The event is scheduled for 9 to 13 December 2026 and is based at Juniper Hall, Old London Road, Dorking.
Runners have up to 96 hours to complete the course. The route follows established trails and paths, including the North Downs Way, Vanguard Way, South Downs Way, Wayfarers Walk and St Swithuns Way. The route description specifies an initial 18 mile section on the North Downs Way to Botley Hill, about 45 miles on the Vanguard Way to Alfriston, almost 80 miles on the South Downs Way to Exton, a 32 mile section on the Wayfarers Walk and St Swithuns Way to Farnham, and a final 25 miles on the North Downs Way back to Juniper Hall.
Live tracking is available across the entire event. Participants may have a crew and access one drop bag at each of three major aid stations where hot food and sleeping facilities are provided. The event is a single stage race so timing continues throughout. The course includes long stretches between aid stations and undulating terrain; each day includes about 16 hours of darkness.
The event is organised by Centurion Running and will run under a UK Athletics permit granted through the TRA. Minimum age for entry is 20. Entry fees are listed as UKA discounted £600 and Non UKA discounted £602. Entries open 21 December 2025 and close 30 November 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
