Publix Run to the Arts 5K

Publix Run to the Arts is a 5 kilometer run, walk, roll, or stroll held on the Downtown Fort Myers waterfront as part of ArtFest Fort Myers. The event includes race timing with the Chronotrack system and a disposable B tag affixed to the back of the race bib. Overall awards are based on gun time; age group awards use chip time and medals are awarded for the top three finishers in each listed age group.

Participant registration includes a race bib and an artist-designed event T shirt. Registrants who want to guarantee a shirt must register by December 27, 2026; shirt availability after that date is not guaranteed. Packets with bibs and shirts are available at an early pickup location the day before the race and on race morning. Race bibs are required to participate.

The event offers a post race Publix breakfast and live entertainment, and exposes participants to artist booths before the festival opens to the public. There is no water station along the course; water is provided at the start and the finish. The run allows baby jogger strollers (starting at the back) and wheelchair racers (who will start first); handcycles, bikes, in-line skates, skateboards, and non service animals are not allowed on the course. Minimum participant age is 13; participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No refunds or transfer of registration are offered.
