Format, awards and logistics
The event includes a Turkey Tag challenge in which one participant will dress as the Turkey and receive a five-minute head start before other participants chase the Turkey toward the finish. The 5K is chip-timed. Awards include overall top three male and female finishers and top three male and female in each age group: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Participants receive a custom finisher medal and a limited-edition race T-shirt. Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the race and on race morning at Crystal Lake Park.
