Run the Vineyards - The Waltz 5K
The Run the Vineyards - The 5K Waltz is an annual running and walking event held at the Waltz Vineyards Estate Winery in Manheim, Pennsylvania. Participants traverse a scenic 5 km course that winds through the vineyard grounds, offering views of the surrounding mountains and Lancaster County landscape.
The event features a chip-timed race with instant results provided to participants. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in specific age categories ranging from 14 and under to 70 and over. Walkers and children are permitted to participate, with a requested time limit of one hour to complete the course.
The event includes several amenities:
- 5 km run or walk through vineyard paths.
- A high-quality race shirt available in various sizes.
- A stemless souvenir wine glass.
- A complimentary glass of wine for participants aged 21 and older.
An after-party is held on-site following the race, featuring live music and a local food truck. The event is held rain or shine, and organizers provide free downloadable professional photos of the race and the post-run activities.
