Run the Vineyards - "The 5K Waltz"
This event is a 5K run and walk held at Waltz Vineyards Estate Winery in Manheim, Pennsylvania. The course runs through vineyard terrain and offers views of the surrounding mountain and valley landscape. The surface is off-road in parts and follows a scenic route across the estate.
Timing is chip-timed with instant results. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers and to age-group winners for both male and female categories, including age brackets of 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, and every 10 years thereafter. Walkers and children are welcome; walkers must be registered and start behind runners for safety, and a one hour time limit is kindly requested.
Post-race amenities include a complimentary glass of wine for participants aged 21 and over, live music immediately after the finish, and food available from an on-site food truck. The setting overlooks the vineyard and views of the valley and mountains. Race apparel options include women's, men's/unisex, and youth sizes, with an optional upgrade to a women's racerback tank for an additional fee and other ordering options available before a specified deadline.
