Plowing Over Pumpkins Whoopie Pie 5K Run/Walk
The 9th annual Whoopie Pie 5K takes place on November 28, 2026 at Cocalico Eagle Stadium in Denver, Pennsylvania. The event is a 5K run/walk that benefits the American Cancer Society and 4 Girls On A Mission, with all proceeds donated to those organizations.
The course follows a flat route through Lancaster County residential and farm country, making it suitable for personal records, children, and jogging strollers. The race is professionally timed and results are posted on Pretzel City Sports.
Entry is $30 if registered by November 1 and includes a custom buff; entry is $35 after November 1 and on race day, with race swag available while supplies last. Awards are given to the top male and female overall, plus the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
After the race participants may receive a pumpkin whoopie pie and other refreshments. Each participant receives one raffle ticket, with additional tickets available for purchase. Participants who bring new or gently used backpacks, duffel bags, or tote bags for outreach receive one free raffle ticket per item. The event is held rain, sun or snow.
