Great Turkey Chase in Elizabethtown
The Great Turkey Chase is a community road race held on November 26, 2026 in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. The event supports ECHOS: a portion of registration fees and 100 percent of online donations benefit that organization. The race begins and ends at Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ, 996 E High St.
Race offerings include:
- 5K loop through Elizabethtown streets, passing the high school, Etown College, and Bear Creek Elementary.
- 1 mile kids run with two formats: a short parking-lot run for the youngest and an approximately 1/4 mile loop through parking lot and grass; kids may run one to four loops.
The 5K has a registration fee of $35.00; the kids run has no fee. T-shirts are provided to 5K participants who register by November 5. All 5K finishers receive a finisher's medal. Age-group awards are given in 10-year divisions, plus overall finisher awards presented in a Thanksgiving theme.
Additional information: limited parking is available at EBIC with overflow at nearby schools, a fairgrounds lot, and street parking; certain parking areas will be reserved for the kids run and grassy areas should not be used for parking. Dogs are not permitted on the race course. The event does not offer refunds. Family gathering and costume contests are part of the event, with prizes awarded to qualifying participants.
