Run the Vineyards - Running Hare Fall 5K
This event is the 9th annual 5K run and walk, taking place at Running Hare Vineyard in Prince Frederick, Maryland. The course goes through the vineyard on a scenic route across the property, which spans over 300 acres. The race is chip-timed with instant results available.
Participants receive a custom tech tee, with an option for a long-sleeve version for an extra fee. They also receive a souvenir "Run the Vineyards" stemless wine glass. A complimentary glass of wine or beer is included post-race.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, as well as the top three in each age group. Age groups start at 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, and continue in ten-year increments. The event features a live musician, on-site food vendors, and a professional photographer offering free downloadable photos.
Packet pick-up occurs on race day at the vineyard. A wine-stopper finisher medal is available for purchase. The event's charity partner is Habitat for Humanity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
