Run the Vineyards - Running Hare Fall 5K
Run the Vineyards is a 5K event held on the 300+ acre property of Running Hare Vineyard in Prince Frederick, Maryland. The course runs through the vineyard and is chip timed with instant results. The event names Habitat for Humanity as its charity partner.
Registration is required to be on the course for participant safety. Walkers and children are welcome, with walkers starting behind the pack of runners. Participants must complete the course within a one hour time limit. The event is held rain or shine; there are no refunds or deferrals.
Participants age 21 and over receive a complimentary glass of wine or beer. A live musician performs into the late morning, and on-site food vendors will be available. A custom tech tee is included, with an option to upgrade to a long sleeve tech tee for an additional $6; women's, men's/unisex, and youth sizes are offered. Signing up by September 27 is recommended to guarantee first choice of apparel, though extras may be available later.
Additional event features include a souvenir stemless wine glass, souvenir finisher medals (priced during registration and higher on race day), professional race photography with free downloadable photos after the event, and awards for the top three male and female overall and age group winners (age groups begin at 14 and under, then 15-19, 20-29, and every 10 years).
