CalvertHealth Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk
The CalvertHealth Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk is a community event held in Solomons, Maryland. The registration proceeds support the Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Care, which provides programs and services for the local community. The event takes place at the Solomons Medical Center and offers two main options for participants:
- 5K Run
- Fun Walk
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers. Additionally, age-group awards are provided for the first, second, and third place male and female finishers across several categories, ranging from ages 9 and under to 70 and older. Participants receive event swag which includes a custom t-shirt and a custom bib design.
The event features a gathering with various vendors available for participants to visit. Packet pick-up is organized in advance at the Calvert Medical Arts Building in Prince Frederick during the week of the race, with additional pick-up options available at the event site on the morning of the run. Each individual registration serves as an entry into a promotional drawing for a cruise, with the possibility of a second drawing if the total number of participants reaches 2,000.
