Event Overview
The CalvertHealth Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026. The event includes a 5K run or walk and a Fun Walk. Both activities have the same start location at 14090 HG Trueman Rd in Solomons, Maryland.
Charity and Registration
Proceeds from the event benefit the Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Care, supporting community programs and services. Registration for each event costs $38.10, which includes a $3.10 fee. Registration opens on March 2, 2026.
A sponsor, Seven Lands and Seas Travel, offers a prize draw for a Viking Cruise valued at up to $10,000 for each registration. If participant numbers reach 2,000, two such cruises will be given away. The drawing occurs at the 5K, but entrants do not need to be present to win.
Schedule and Logistics
Packet pickup is available at the Calvert Medical Arts Building (130 Hospital Road, Prince Frederick) on Thursday, October 15, and Friday, October 16. On race day, packet pickup and registration open at 7:00 a.m. The race program begins at 8:00 a.m., with the race itself starting at 8:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive early due to vendor presence.
Parking is available at Glascock Field across from the Calvert Marine Museum. Participants should not park in the Solomons Medical Building lot.
Course and Amenities
A custom T-shirt and bib are included with registration, though shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis for registrations after September 1. The course map is to be announced. Two water stations will be on the course, with granola bars, bananas, and water available at the finish line.
Awards
Awards are given to the overall Male, Female, and Non-Binary finishers. First-place age group awards are given for both Male and Female categories across multiple age ranges, starting from 9 and under up to 70 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
