2026 SMWL Monster Mash 5k
The SMWL Monster Mash is a 5k event held at the Indian Head Rail Trail in White Plains, MD. The course is flat, paved, and out-and-back, running along creeks and through wooded sections of the trail.
Race features include chip timing, a finisher’s medal, and a technical Dri‑fit event shirt. A virtual run option is available. This event awards points toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Fall Series.
Registration fees listed for the 5k are: adults $50, youth ages 7–17 $25, and youth under 7 free; prices increase by $5 on race morning. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed only for participants registered before September 23; additional shirts may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis. Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the event; registrants should plan to arrive about one hour before the event for check-in.
On-course support includes one water station near mile 1.55 and Gatorade at some stations. Port-a-johns will be available near the check-in area. Live results are posted on Athlinks with final results and series points published the Monday after the race. Event photos are posted the Tuesday following the event. Awards recognize top overall male and female and winners in designated youth and team categories.
