Run Sage Creek 2026
Run Sage Creek is an initiative organized by the Sage Creek Residents’ Association in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The event takes place at Ron Duhamel Park and École Sage Creek School, offering a community focused environment for both runners and walkers. The courses consist of a mix of roads, sidewalks, and local trails.
The event features the following distances:
- 1k: A non chip timed event for the MRA Youth Series on sidewalk and trail. Participants under 12 may be accompanied by a caregiver.
- 3k: A chip timed course that starts at the school and finishes near the park.
- 5k: A certified course by Athletics Canada and part of the Manitoba Runners' Association Classic Series.
- 10k: A chip timed race consisting of two loops of the 5k course.
All registered participants receive a finisher medal upon completion. The event site hosts food services and various vendors following the races. The 5k, 3k, and 10k distances utilize chip timing, while the 1k is focused on participation. Awards for finishers are presented on-site during the morning activities.
