About the race
The Abas Auto Stony Mountain Run is an athletic event organized by the Stony Mountain Community Association. The run functions as a fundraiser to support park and trail projects, specifically the construction of community paths for walking, running, and cycling.
The event features three distinct distances:
- 2.5 km Stony Scamper: A fun walk or run that is part of the Manitoba Runners Association Youth Race Series.
- 5 km What the Hill: A race included in the Manitoba Runners Association Classic and Youth Race Series, as well as the Interlake Run Series.
- 10 km Quarry Run: A longer distance competitive run.
All finishers across the different events receive a commemorative medal. Options for race bib pickup include a pre-event date at a local running store or on-site at the race location on the morning of the event. Parking is provided at the race site near the Stony Mountain Ski Area, with the entrance located at 150 Sellers Road. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
