The Event
The Stony Mountain Run is a fundraiser organized by the Stony Mountain Community Association. The proceeds go towards park and trail projects for walking, running, and cycling in the community. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday, August 22.
The Races
Three race distances are offered:
- Rockwood Wrecking Stony Scamper: A 2.5 km fun walk/run, part of the Manitoba Runners Association Youth Race Series.
- Deprez & Associates PWM What the Hill 5K Run: A 5 km run, part of the Manitoba Runners Association Classic and Youth Race Series. This race is also part of the Interlake 2025 Run Series.
- 204 Pallet and Packaging 10K Quarry Run: A 10 km run.
Each race has an early bird entry fee, which increases after July 1. All race finishers will receive a medal.
Practical Information
Registration is available online or on race day. Bib pickup is offered on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at the Running Room on Kenaston, and at the race site in Stony Mountain on Saturday, August 22 from 8:00 AM.
The start and finish are near the Stony Mountain Ski Area. Parking is available at 150 Sellers Road. A course map is provided online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
