2026 Abas Auto Stony Mountain Run
The event takes place on August 22, 2026, in Stony Mountain, MB, Canada, at the Stony Mountain Quarry site, 150 Sellers Hill Road. Multiple distance options are offered on looped courses around the quarry, and finishers receive event medals.
Distances offered
- 2.5 K Run / Walk : 1 loop of the quarry.
- 5 K run : 2 loops of the quarry. Part of the Youth MRA and MRA Classic Series.
- 10 K run : 4 loops of the Stony Mountain Quarry.
The run is included in several regional race series, including the MRA Classic Run Series for the 2.5 K and 5 K, the MATR Run series, and the Interlake Run Series. Completing all four Interlake Series events yields the full series medal; other series events listed are Duck & Run (June 7, 2025), Stonewall Quarry Run (July 19, 2026), and Islendingadagurinn at Gimli (August 2, 2026).
The event also functions as a fundraiser for Stony Mountain trail and parks projects, with funds directed toward local trail work. Registration is open with an early-bird pricing period from January 1 to June 30 and higher fees from July 1 to August 20; some races note limited spots available.
