Rockaway Beach Thanksgiving Runs
The Rockaway Beach Thanksgiving event takes place in Rockaway Park, New York. This athletic gathering offers two distinct distances for participants to choose from on the Saturday before the holiday:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
The half marathon course is USATF certified, ensuring a standard length for participants tracking their performance. Both the start and finish lines are situated on the boardwalk at 108th Street. The route primarily utilizes the local boardwalk area, providing a flat surface for the duration of the run.
Check-in, late registration, and the distribution of materials occur at Healy's Pub on Rockaway Beach Boulevard. Registered participants receive a bib tag and a t-shirt during the pre-race pickup.
Throughout the course, hydration is provided at multiple locations. Water and Gatorade stations are positioned at ample intervals to support participants during their activity.
