Both distances are available in in-person and virtual formats. In-person bib pickup is available at the Naumburg Bandshell on the event day, and registrants who register three weeks in advance can have their name printed on the bib. Course amenities include one water station along the route and at the finish line. Public bathrooms are located under the walkway between the bandshell and the Bethesda Fountain. Race awards include prizes for the top three male and female overall finishers in each distance.
The event supports the Zambezi Elephant Fund, which funds projects in Zimbabwe’s Zambezi Valley. Over the past five years the run has contributed $330,000 toward elephant conservation.
