About the race
The Classic Apple Pie 5K is scheduled for September 27, 2026 at Eisenhower Park - Field 2 in East Meadow, New York. The event offers an in-person 5K run or walk and a virtual 5K option. The event is held rain or shine and includes a free Kiddie Dash for young participants.
Distances and formats:
- In-person 5K run or walk
- Virtual 5K with a results posting window from 9/27 to 10/4
Participants receive a mini apple pie; a classic apple T-shirt is available. Hydration will be provided at the finish line. Bathrooms are located within a few minutes walk of the start and finish. An informal bag check area will be available in the staging area; the organizer does not assume responsibility for personal belongings. Refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water.
Registration options include in-person and virtual entries, with a bib mailing add-on available for $10 if registered at least 10 days in advance. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Purchase Protection is offered for an additional fee to cover certain qualifying unforeseen circumstances. Virtual participants may upload times and up to five photos during the posting window. A portion of the event proceeds benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation.
