Run for Hops : Kailua-Kona, HI
Run for Hops is a community 5K and 10K run/walk scheduled for April 11, 2027 in Kailua-Kona. The event is presented by People for Active Transportation Hawaii (PATH) and BMW of Hawai’i and benefits PATH’s bike education programming and efforts to improve road safety on Hawai’i Island.

Registration is limited to 600 participants and the entry fee is $40. The fee includes a commemorative T-shirt, an award ceremony, beer tasting, and nibbles after the race. Registered participants were transferred automatically to the new date and the event does not offer refunds.
The course is a loop that features Old Airport Park and the Maka’eo Path. Awards are given to overall finishers and to the top three in each 10-year age group. A corporate/group challenge provides a registration discount for teams of ten or more. Packet pickup is held the day before the race at Big Island Running Company in Kailua-Kona for those who cannot attend the race day pickup; additional packet information is communicated to participants by the organizers.
Post-race festivities include beer from Kona Brewing Company and an award presentation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
