Jingle Bell Beach Run - Kona, Hawaii
The Jingle Bell Beach Run is a holiday-themed running event held in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii’s Big Island each December. The event features a featured 5K race and additional activities that take place around the same day; the 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday, December 20, 2026.
The event program includes races and family-oriented activities. A free Keiki Dash is offered for children ages 6 and under. A costume contest has been part of the event tradition since 2005 and is held on the Sunday before Christmas in Kailua-Kona.
Registration is available online only, with the registration period open from August 1 to December 19 and no race-day registration offered. The event partners with PATH Hawaii, an organization that promotes safe and accessible active transportation on the Big Island. Each year the Jingle Bell Beach Run recognizes a local organization or individual for contributions to the community.
