Run Exe 5k
The Run Exe 5k is a series of road races held in Exeter. The event takes place on a flat, two-lap course that utilizes footpaths and cycle tracks around Exwick Playing Fields and the River Exe Flood Relief Scheme. The route is entirely traffic-free and maintains a pancake-flat profile throughout.
Participants can choose to enter individual events or the full six-race series. For those participating in the series, the best four results out of the six races are used for the final standings. All runners who complete four or more races receive a series medal. The event is held under UKA Licence Number 28980 and uses chip timing for all participants.
- 5 km
The race utilizes two wave starts to manage runner flow. The first wave is designated for participants expected to finish under 19 minutes, while the second wave starts one minute later for those over 19 minutes. All participants must be at least 11 years old to enter.
The venue at Exwick Playing Fields includes bike racking on site. While there is a car park at the entrance with a height restriction of 2.1 meters, spaces are limited. Local alternatives include on-street parking and the nearby Okehampton Street and Flowerpot Lane council car parks. Race numbers are collected at the first attended race and must be retained for use throughout the entire series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
