The Feighan Fury Race and Fun Run
The Feighan Fury Race and Fun Run is a multi-terrain event hosted by the South West Road Runners and Exe Valley Rotary Club. The event takes place in the rolling hills of mid Devon, utilizing private estates around the Tiverton area. The routes include a mixture of hills, woods, trails, and river sections, with about 70% of the terrain located off-road.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 10 mile trail race with approximately 637 meters of total ascent.
- 5 km Templeton Trail fun run and walk.
The 10 mile Fury Race is held under TRA rules and has a minimum age requirement of 17. It features three water stations along the course and a four-hour cut-off time. This is a cup-less event, so runners are expected to bring their own drinking containers. Participants in the main race receive a technical event vest, while those in the 5 km fun run receive an event medal.
Event headquarters are located at Templeton Village Hall, which provides toilet facilities, a first aid team, and an on-site cafe serving hot food and drinks. Parking at the hall is limited, and car sharing is encouraged. The event is gender-inclusive with prize categories considered as Open/Male or Female.
