Event details
The Run Durham Dalton Park 10 Miler takes place on 23rd August 2026 in Murton, finishing next to the Dalton Park Retail Centre in the nature reserve. The route is an accurately measured, traffic-free 10 Miles with an undulating profile and a mix of trail and tarmac surfaces. Chip timing is used and is provided by Timing4Sport. The minimum age for entry is 16. Entries are limited to 500 and close on 18th August 2026. Entry fees are £22 (affiliated) and £24 (unaffiliated). All finishers receive a bespoke medal and an optional race T-shirt is available at an extra cost.
Course and logistics
Race HQ and registration are at Dalton Park Shopping Centre, Murton, Seaham SR7 9HU. Facilities listed include bag drop at Race HQ, toilets at Race HQ and within Dalton Park Shopping Village, and limited changing facilities. Parking is suggested near the Dancing Betty Pub. There are water stations approximately every 3 miles and distance markers every mile. First aid provision is available. The event is organised under UK Athletics rules and UKA anti-doping rules apply.
