About the race
The Gateshead Trail 10k is a scenic, traffic-free 10-kilometre trail race in Swalwell, Gateshead, weaving through the Derwent Walk Country Park. The fast course features wide paths, only a few inclines, and a double-loop at the top, keeping runners close together and boosting PB potential. The event centers on a lively Start/Finish Village with food stalls, music, and a friendly, supportive atmosphere, and it typically attracts a sell-out field of around 2,000 runners.
