Run Across Georgia - May 26, 2027
Run Across Georgia is a 277.2 miles run and ride event that begins on Tybee Island and finishes in Columbus, Georgia. The route follows quiet back roads through the plains of middle Georgia and is described as a gentle, sloping uphill trek to the finish.
The event is organized as both a run and a ride. Entry formats include solo efforts and team options: run entries may be solo or in teams up to 12 runners, and ride entries may be solo or in teams up to 4 riders. Relay formats and other crew roles are part of the event program.
Run Across Georgia is a fundraiser. Participants are asked to raise at least $500. Historically, participants have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local causes. Beneficiaries named for the event are MercyMed of Columbus and House of Heroes - National, and fundraising proceeds are directed entirely to those beneficiaries.
All finishers receive a finisher award. Additional awards are given for categories that have included most funds raised for teams and individuals, best dressed team at the finish line, and best dressed crew vehicle. Registration for the event closes on May 20 at 11:59 PM ET, and event fees span multiple pricing tiers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
