Run Across Georgia 2026
Run Across Georgia is a long-distance run and ride that covers 277.2-mile across central Georgia. The route begins on Tybee Island and travels through the plains of middle Georgia along quiet back roads, finishing in Columbus, Georgia. The course is described as a gentle, sloping uphill route.
The event is organized as both a running and a cycling event. Run Across Georgia can be run individually or as a team of up to 12 runners. Ride Across Georgia can be ridden solo or as a team of up to 4 riders.
The event is run as a fundraiser. Participants are asked to raise at least $500. The beneficiaries named for 2026 include MercyMed of Columbus and House of Heroes. The event states that 100% of fundraising proceeds go directly to those beneficiaries.
All finishers receive finisher awards. Additional awards are listed for most funds raised by teams and individuals, best dressed team at the finish line, and best dressed crew vehicle, with the possibility of more categories being added.
