Run Across Georgia - May 26, 2027
Run Across Georgia is a 277.2 mile run and ride that begins on Tybee Island and finishes in Columbus, Georgia. The course passes through the plains of middle Georgia and is described as a gentle, sloping uphill route along quiet back roads.
The event offers multiple formats. The run can be completed individually or as a team of up to 12 runners. The ride can be completed solo or as a team of up to 4 riders. Relays and crew support are part of the event structure.
Run Across Georgia is organized as a fundraiser. Participants are asked to raise at least $500. One hundred percent of fundraising proceeds are designated for MercyMed of Columbus and House of Heroes. Over the years participants have raised funds for local causes.
All finishers will receive finisher awards. Special awards are planned for categories such as most funds raised for teams and individuals, best dressed team at the finish line, and best dressed crew vehicle.
