Run Across Georgia (May 26, 2027)
Run Across Georgia is a long-distance run and ride that follows a 277.2 mile route beginning in Tybee Island and finishing in Columbus, Georgia. The course runs along quiet back roads through the plains of middle Georgia and is described as a gentle, sloping uphill trek toward the finish.
The event can be completed solo or in teams. Run Across Georgia accepts individual runners or teams of up to 12 runners. Ride Across Georgia accepts solo riders or teams of up to 4 riders. Relays and crew support are part of the event structure.
Run Across Georgia is organized as a fundraiser. Beneficiaries named for 2027 include House of Heroes, CVCl and MercyMed of Columbus. Participants are asked to raise at least $500, and the event states that 100% of fundraising proceeds go to MercyMed of Columbus and House of Heroes National.
All finishers receive finisher awards. Additional awards are listed for most funds raised both team and individual, best dressed team at the finish line, and best dressed crew vehicle, with a note that more award categories may be added as the event approaches.
