Run Across Georgia
Run Across Georgia is a long-distance run and ride scheduled for May 26, 2027, that starts on Tybee Island, GA and finishes in Columbus, GA. The full route covers 277.2 miles and follows quiet back roads with a gentle, sloping uphill profile through middle Georgia.
The event offers multiple participation formats. The run can be completed individually or as a team of up to 12 runners. The ride option can be done solo or as a team of up to 4 riders. All finishers receive finisher awards. Special awards are planned for most funds raised by an individual and by a team, best dressed team at the finish line, and best dressed crew vehicle; additional award categories may be added.
Run Across Georgia is organized as a fundraiser. Beneficiaries include House of Heroes, CVCl, and MercyMed of Columbus. Participants are asked to raise at least $500. The organizers state that 100% of fundraising proceeds go directly to MercyMed of Columbus and House of Heroes National.
