This community running event at Daffin Park in Savannah on November 21, 2026 honors a local hero who served in the Marine Corps and as a firefighter and paramedic. The event raises funds to support families of first responders and military; the 2025 event distributed $20,000 in donations to local families.
Distances offered include:
- 10 km (6.2 miles) - runners complete the 5 km course twice.
- 5 km (3.1 miles) run or walk.
- 5 km (3.1 miles) ruck, minimum weight requirements apply.
- Kids Run, 0.5 miles - maximum age to participate is 10 years.
- Virtual options for kids and adult distances.
Logistics and participant information: chip timing is used. Packet pickup is available Thursday November 19 at Way Station Coffee, 10610 Ford Ave, Richmond Hill, GA from 9am to 2pm, and Friday November 20 at Fleet Feet Savannah, 3405 Waters Ave, Savannah, GA from 10am to 7pm. There is no race day packet pickup. Virtual participants receive packets by mail and must register by October 16 for mailed packets. Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after October 15. Strollers are allowed with care. Royal restrooms will be onsite.
Post-race activities include awards, a raffle, beverages, snacks and a bouncy house for children. The event is supported and run with involvement from Fleet Feet Savannah. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
