18th Annual United Way Turkey Trot
The United Way Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving morning in Savannah, Georgia. The event centers around Daffin Park and features a course that loops through the Ardsley Park neighborhood before returning to the park for the conclusion of the event. All proceeds from the race benefit the United Way of the Coastal Empire.
The event offers several distances and participation options for different age groups:
- 4 Miles: A run or walk open to participants aged 4 and older.
- 0.62 miles (Kids K): A complimentary run for children aged 10 and under.
- 35 yards (Diaper Dash): A complimentary dash for children aged 3 and under.
Registration for the 4-mile event includes a long-sleeve unisex adult t-shirt. Registered participants are eligible for overall awards provided to the top three male and female finishers, as well as age group awards. Specialty awards are also presented for the largest family and the best costume.
The course is located at Daffin Park with parking available around the park and Grayson Stadium. Strollers and pets on a six-foot leash are permitted on the course with participants. Rollerblades, roller skates, and bicycles are not allowed. Only registered participants with bibs are permitted on the race route. The event takes place regardless of rain or sun.
Packet pick-up is held on Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the event at Fleet Feet Sports on Waters Avenue. There is no on-site registration on the day of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
