Girl Scout Island Ultra
Girl Scout Island Ultra is an ultramarathon event held on Rose Dhu Island in Savannah, GA during the weekend of November 20 to November 22, 2026. The event offers multiple race distances on a measured 6.25 mile trail loop that is described as non technical and generally flat with occasional roots. The course is chip timed and runners must pass a timing mat each lap.
Distances include:
- Feathers 10k
- 50k
- 50k Relay minimum 2 runners and maximum 5 runners
- 100k
- 100 mile
Lap counts by distance are specified: 10k equals 1 lap, 50k equals 5 laps, 100k equals 10 laps, and 100 mile equals 16 laps. A single aid station will be available. The event is cupless so runners must carry their own hydration vessels. Aid station supplies include water, hydration mix and Girl Scout cookies. A medical tent staffed by a registered nurse will handle minor injuries and an AED will be on site. Designated private breastfeeding accommodations and feminine products will be available at the medical area.
Pacers must register, sign a waiver and wear a pacer bib. Pacers are allowed after 50 miles for 100k and 100 mile participants with an exception for older runners who may have pacers earlier. Camping options are offered through the host organization with cabins and primitive options; RVs are not allowed on the island. Registration closes November 18, 2026.
