Event Information
The Run 906 is a 9.06K race that takes place on the Sunday before Labor Day in Saint Ignace, Michigan. The event celebrates the "Yooper" area code 906.
Location and Course
The start and finish are at Bridge View Park on Boulevard Drive. The course goes along Boulevard Drive, which is a hard-packed limestone gravel road. Runners proceed west for 4.53 kilometers before turning around to head back to the finish. The route offers views of the Mackinac Bridge.
Registration and Logistics
Registration is online only. A participant limit will be determined six weeks before the race. Bib pickup details for an early session will be updated in August. Race day bib pickup is available near the start/finish area from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM.
All finishers receive a medal. Awards are given for first place in multiple age groups and for overall top male and female, top master (40+), and top grand master (60+) runners. Timing uses chip technology with bib-mounted transponders.
Parking is available for free in a grass lot at Bridge View Park. Participants are asked to avoid the main asphalt lot. An aid station with water and sports drink is located at the turnaround point. Refreshments at the finish include water, sports drink, juice boxes, chips, fruit snacks, bananas, and cookies.
