Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Run
The Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Run is a non-competitive running event held on the Mackinac Bridge in St. Ignace, Michigan. The event is organized by the Michigan Fitness Foundation and the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports with support from the Mackinac Bridge Authority and the Michigan Department of Transportation. The bridge is known as the Mighty Mac and the event is the only running event held on the bridge.
The course is approximately 4.3 miles and is not certified for distance. This is a running-only event; it is not a walk or a run/walk. The run is not chip timed and no official times will be posted. The field is limited to 700 participants.
Registration includes a technical tee shirt, a finisher medal and a race bib. To register and participate, entrants must provide proof that they can maintain a 15-minute mile pace or faster. Acceptable proof includes a URL to recent race results or a screenshot from recent race results or from a running app that shows the required pace.
Registration opens 1/1/2027 and closes 1/30/2027. The registration fee is $65.00. The event takes place before the Labor Day Bridge Walk and is organized as a single run across the bridge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
