Moie Brown Memorial Run for the Health of It
The Moie Brown Memorial Run for the Health of It is an annual community running and walking event presented by First National Bank of St. Ignace. It offers both in-person events on the Mackinac Straits Health System St. Ignace campus and a virtual option that runs from September 26, 2026 to October 10, 2026. The event includes a Color Run element and complimentary root beer floats for participants.

Registration opens on November 1, 2025. Early bird pricing ends February 28, 2026. The registration fee for listed events is $30. Registrations made by August 23, 2026 are guaranteed a commemorative T-shirt or long sleeve shirt; the event also provides a finisher's medal. Virtual participants can expect shirts and medals to be mailed before the virtual race window; shipping to Canada is not available.
Course notes describe a 5K route that uses North State Street and Airport Road with a loop by Evergreen Living Center, and a 10K that extends farther onto local streets before returning to the hospital loop. Standing signs, painted road markers, and volunteers will guide participants. Courses may change slightly due to construction.
Awards will recognize overall male and female finishers and multiple age groups, with custom handcrafted awards produced by a local high school woodshop class.
