Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Dallas
The Day of the Dead Half Marathon in Dallas takes place on 10/10/2026 at Fair Oaks Park, 7621 Fair Oaks Ave, Dallas TX 75231. Multiple race options are offered, including in person and virtual entries, with chip timing used for several distances. Aid stations will provide water and on-course assistance. Packet pickup is offered beginning 1.5 hours before the event start, and shirt availability is guaranteed up to 10 days before the event.
Race distances offered:
- Kids Dash - 20 yards; ages 10 and under; not timed; tee, medal, recognition pin.
- 1 Mile - 1 mile; not chip timed; includes tee and medal.
- 5K - 3.11 miles; chip timed; overall trophies and age group awards.
- Quarter Marathon - 6.55 miles; chip timed; Bigfoot trophies and age group awards.
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles; chip timed; Bigfoot trophies and age group awards.
- Virtual Run - 13.1 miles; virtual option.
- Volunteer then Run - 3.11 miles; volunteer then run; chip bib, tee, medal.
A pre race costume contest is held at the starting area with judging and a Day of the Dead Best Costume Award and prize package. Post race activities include a rally tent with music, awards announcements, and snacks and refreshments. Course surfaces may include paved trails, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths.
