The Colony Shoreline 8 Miler

The Colony Shoreline 5K & 8 Miler

The Colony Shoreline 5K and 8 mile race takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Stewart Creek Park in The Colony, Texas. Distances offered include:

• 5K (3.1 miles)
• 8 miles

Portions of each course run along The Colony Shoreline Trail beside Lake Lewisville: about 60 percent of the 5K and about 80 percent of the 8 mile course. The trail surface is a smooth crushed granite with gentle undulations. The event provides several water stops along the course and one porta potty at each turnaround.

Packet pickup is available the day before at The Colony Recreation Center and on race morning. Registrations include a soft cotton tee shirt, a chip timed bib, a finishers medal, and a post race beer. Parking is available inside Stewart Creek Park with the restriction that vehicles parked there may need to remain until runners are cleared; an alternate grass field parking location is available about a half mile from the start. Volunteers and signs help guide participants on race day.

The event does not allow transfers and does not offer refunds. Proceeds are donated to the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation to provide two athletic scholarships and to help fund The Colony Kids Chase. Sponsors receive race day recognition, a logo on the shirt, and other benefits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
