About the race
The Smuttynose Rockfest Half Marathon & 5K takes place along the New Hampshire shoreline at Hampton Beach on October 3, 2027. The event includes in-person races and a virtual option that lets participants run from anywhere while still receiving event swag.
Race options:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- Virtual option with same swag
Registration includes exclusive Rockfest gear, a premium finisher medal inspired by classic vinyl records, official race photos, and access to a managed and timed course. The event pairs running with live music and an after-party featuring Smuttynose craft beer for guests 21 and over, free food, and the event’s lobster roll with a vegetarian alternative. Spectator tickets are available for non-runners to join the after-party.
The event offers group registration, volunteer opportunities, and a charity partnership supporting Girls on the Run and children with special needs in New Hampshire. Sponsors and partners listed include Smuttynose Brewing Co. and New Hampshire State Parks. Lodging information, race details, results archives, and an official race shop are provided through the event pages.
The overall presentation emphasizes a coastal course, music-driven atmosphere, and post-race gathering rather than competitive details. Key logistical items such as packet pickup, virtual run procedures, and frequently asked questions are addressed on the event’s FAQ and race-details pages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
