Dover Turkey Trot
The Dover Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day 5k held in Dover, New Hampshire, on November 26, 2026 at Shaws Lane. The event is organized for runners, walkers, families and people of all ages and abilities and has run for 13 years.
The race benefits the Garrison Elementary School PTA. Funds raised support student enrichment activities, family and community events, classroom supplies, artist in residency programs, and other needs that fall outside the school district budget. The event serves as the PTA’s single largest annual fundraiser.
Registration is offered in age categories with online pre-registration and day of options. Fees listed include:
- Participants who have graduated from elementary school: online pre-registration $25, day of $30.
- Fourth graders and under: online pre-registration $12, day of $15. A shirt only purchase is available for $30 with additional shirts offered through October 31.
The event listing notes a course map and shows participant and fundraising totals for the current year. Participants often wear turkey themed outfits and the race is described as a local Thanksgiving morning tradition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
