Dover Turkey Trot
The Dover Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day 5K held at Garrison Elementary School on Shaw’s Lane in Dover, NH on Thursday, November 26, 2026. The event is organized as a community running and walking event for runners, walkers, families, and people of all ages and abilities. The distance offered is 5K.
The event has been held for more than ten years and aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and a sense of community while raising funds for the Garrison School PTA. Funds raised support student enrichment activities, family and community events, classroom supplies, artist-in-residency programs, and other items outside the school district’s budget. The race serves as the single largest annual fundraiser for the PTA and is also the final race of the Dover Race Series.
Entry fees are stated as $25 with a reduced fee of $12 for grade 4 and under; fees increase on race day to $30 and $15 for grade 4 and under. Volunteers are used to support the event on race day.
