River City Summer Slam at Navy Lodge Mayport
The 4th annual River City Summer Slam is a multi-day cycling and running event presented by the Major Taylor Cycling Club of North Florida, held July 30 to August 2, 2026, at Navy Lodge Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida. The weekend program includes road rides, a kids fun ride, a 5K beach run, social activities and additional on-site events.
Participants can choose among three road route options:
- 65 miles Metric Century
- 37 miles Half-metric century
- 22 miles Sub-quarter century
Registration packages include a commemorative T-shirt (subject to cutoff dates), event packet home delivery (packet contents include shirt, bib, safety pins, wristband, printed route map and cue sheet), fully stocked rest stops, on-course mobile support and route markings. Important registration dates include the last day to order a preferred T-shirt size, the deadline for guaranteed event packet home delivery, and the final day to register.
Weekend activities include a kick-off ride, participant check-in, a kids fun ride with after-ride lunch, a navy ship tour, evening dinner and entertainment with a Harlem Nights theme, and a recovery ride with a 5K beach run. Base security requires that participants without an active military ID provide date of birth and the last four digits of their SSN during registration.
