BHI 2nd Annual 5K & Fun Run
The event is the second annual 5K run and fun run on Black Hammock Island, held on August 1, 2026. The course is entirely on the island and the start and finish are at the Black Hammock Island Community Center, 15770 Sawpit Road, Jacksonville, FL 32226.
Distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Fun Run (1 mile)
Race registration includes a short sleeve T shirt and a finisher medal, and the event features a post race back to school bash. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $25.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the Fun Run.
Awards are given for the 5K only: top three overall male and female finishers, and first male and female finishers in the following age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. There are no awards for the Fun Run.
