Kilwins Ice Cream Run
The Kilwins Ice Cream Run is a community road race held in the Beachwalk community in St. Johns, Florida. The event includes three distances:
- 5K
- One mile
- 25 yard dash for children
The 5K course starts and finishes at Kilwins and follows a large loop around Beachwalk using the 12 foot wide pedestrian trail. The one mile is an out-and-back course that also starts and finishes at the 5K inflatable. The kids 25 yard dash takes place in front of Kilwins.
Race features listed for entrants include Kilwins Original Recipe Ice Cream served after the race, tank tops to all entrants, medals for all finishers, overall and age-group awards, and specified overall prizes and gift cards. Age groups cover standard youth and adult brackets up to 80 and over.
Entry fees vary by distance and registration date. Packets are available for pickup at multiple 1st Place Sports locations and at Kilwins St Johns on the days before the race, with race day pickup in front of Kilwins at Beachwalk.
The event raises funds for local nonprofit organizations and supports team fundraising. Team categories include Family, Friends, and Corporate or Company.
