Red Kettle Run : overview
The Red Kettle Run takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, and is presented by The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of Northwest Louisiana. The event raises funds for local programs and services, including the Merkle Center of Hope Shelter, the Boys & Girls Club, Angel Tree participants, holiday meals assistance, and emergency programs. Event options include:

- 5K
- 10K
- Sleep-in supporter (donation, receives T-shirt)
Location, course, registration and awards
The event is held at the LSUS campus, behind the HPE building, 1 University Drive, Shreveport, LA 71105. The 5K course starts near the Pioneer Heritage Center on the road between the HPE building and the soccer fields, uses two complete loops, and finishes at the crosswalk behind the HPE building. The course is described as flat.
Entry fees are $25 early bird through October 3, $30 regular October 4–31, and $35 late/at-the-door on November 1. Choosing no shirt reduces registration by $5. Register before October 22 to guarantee race shirt size. Race packets are available at Sportspectrum on October 30 (noon–6:00 p.m.), October 31 (10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.), and on race morning at the site. Cash awards: overall 10K winners $200 each, overall 5K winners $100 each. Top two finishers in each listed age group receive medals. A school challenge will award the school with the most participants. Fun Run participants receive medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
