Sock Out Cancer 5K and Fun Run
The Sock Out Cancer 5K and Fun Run takes place on April 4, 2026 at Lumiere Park, 1225 Lumiere Lane, Stonewall, Louisiana. This is the event's second edition. It is open to all ages and offers options to run or walk.

One hundred percent of race proceeds support local pediatric oncology families. Funds are directed to ancillary needs such as sponsoring patient birthdays, No Mo Chemo parties, meals, snacks, toys for the clinic, gas cards and hotel expenses. Support is provided for patients served by the St. Jude Affiliate Clinic in Shreveport, a joint effort between St. Jude Research Hospital and Ochsner LSU Health Feist Weiler Cancer Center.
The course begins inside the gates of Lumiere Christmas Park, continues through parking areas and a wooded trail, goes out the park gate, follows the park entrance to Pine Street to a turnaround, and returns the same way to the finish. Volunteers and signs are positioned along the route.
Packet pickup is held at RUNWILD next to Silver Star Grill on Ellerbe Road and also at the race site on race day. The deadline for guaranteed shirts is March 21. Overall male and female awards are listed as TBD. Medals will be given for overall male and female and for age groups 10 and under, 11 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59 and 60 plus.
