Event overview
The Daisy Dash 5k takes place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana. The event is presented by MLK Health and is the second annual Daisy Dash 5K. Registration, logistics and awards
5K registration is open to all ages. Standard 5K registration is $25 through March 13, 2026; late registration is $30 from March 14, 2026 through race day. Fun Run registration is $20 through March 13, 2026; late registration is $25 from March 14, 2026 through race day. Sideline Supporter options are $25 (includes t-shirt) or $20 (no t-shirt); Sideline registration ends April 4, 2026.
Packet pickup is available Thursday, April 2 at MLK Health, 865 Olive Street, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday, April 3 at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Fun Run participants who cross the finish line will receive a certificate. Overall male and female 5K finishers will receive cash prizes; first-place male and female age group winners will receive a trophy. Age groups are 18-and-under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. After the race, MLK will host awards, water, snacks, and music in its garden.
