The Ray of Hope Run for Ovarian Cancer Research is a fundraising event taking place at Hoyt Park in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. It supports ovarian cancer research.
Event Details
The event will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The start/finish area is at Picnic Area #2 on Menomonee River Parkway.
The main events are:
- A chip-timed 5K run.
- A 3K walk.
There is also a virtual option for the 5K run/walk.
Two separate events for children are scheduled:
- A Kids' Run over a 1.1K distance for children ages 6-12.
- A Kids' Dash for children aged 6 and under.
All child participants receive a medal and a reward called Gilliebucks upon finishing. The registration fee for both children's events is $5. A warm-up session led by a representative from TrueNorth Martial Arts is scheduled for 8:35 AM before the children's events.
Registration and Packet Pickup
Registration prices for the 5K run and 3K walk increase on March 1st and again on May 10th. Early packet pickup is available on Thursday, May 28th, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Performance Running Outfitters in Brookfield. Race day packet pickup is available at Hoyt Park from 7:45 AM to 8:20 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
